Meet Cora Nash, TFOF's preschool director since 2012.

Cora Nash

It is my honor and privilege to serve as your preschool director since 2012. I have been an active member at The Family of Faith since 1997. Being here is God’s calling on my life. I've been able to serve in all roles here at our Christian preschool and have given it all for His glory to shine through our school. My previous experience includes work at technology companies such as WorldCom, Fugro and Entelligence. I am a graduate of the Texas A&M class of 1991 – Whoop! I've been married to my husband, Rick, since 1991, and I'm mom to Nathan and Sofia and mother-in-law to Caleb Swan. Most important, I am a daughter of the King and I love Jesus. I am so grateful to serve here and look forward to the amazing things God does in the lives of our families, children and community!

Questions and Answers

Our goal is to equip your child for life beyond their preschool years –academically as well as emotionally, physically and spiritually. We gather daily for chapel time where our pastor celebrates with us and leads a Bible lesson. Parents are always welcome to join us for this special time. We teach and encourage positive social interactions by teaching and demonstrating the fruit of the spirit with a focus on self-control.

We know that children learn through play! So we facilitate center-based play where children explore math, science, drama and art. We know that equipped with these skills your child will be set up for success when he or she leaves our school and moves to kindergarten and beyond.

We believe that a Christian preschool provides a solid foundation for children to progress in their academic pursuits. We believe that it is essential for children to learn self-management skills to thrive in early elementary school. We believe that our social-emotional learning curriculum is well suited to provide each child with the self-management skills they need to thrive as a person and student.

Our focus includes:

  • Teaching Bible lessons with the One in Christ curriculum
  • Expanding language and vocabulary
  • Developing motor skills
  • Encouraging critical thinking
  • Fostering age-appropriate social interactions
  • Nurturing curiosity through technology
  • Encouraging self-expression through art and dramatic play
  • Teaching weekly Spanish classes, introducing up to 200 words to enhance language skills
  • Preparing children for kindergarten with the Abrams curriculum

The safety of our children is top priority. Our doors are always locked, and door access cards are issued to families of full-time students. To obtain a current headcount of students in the building, all parents are required to clock their children in/out via our SmartCare kiosk. This system also gives each parent a real-time record of when their children are signed in and out of preschool.

Otherwise, each visitor is screened before being allowed to enter the building. Once inside, the visitor signs in and has a badge during their visit.

We also monitor all exits and playgrounds through our security camera systems. Playgrounds are secured by fencing and limited street views.

We are on two Cypress Fairbanks ISD bus routes, Holmsely and Postma. We also offer limited van service to schools near both of our campuses.
